About the Book:
Seth has a special skill-set, all right, but it has nothing to do with hammering nails. As a retired member of The Resistance—an elite group of ex-military soldiers—his dark, unsettling past haunts him. He needs a place to lay low, and an out-of-the-way B&B is nothing short of perfect. The blonde beauty doesn’t trust men, and he doesn't plan on sticking around long enough to change her mind.
The closer they get, the more they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. And while Bobbie holds on to her fear of watching another man walk out of their lives, Seth's mere presence has put them all in jeopardy. The only way to ever be free of his dangerous past is for him to accept one last mission...

Disaster at Roosevelt Ranch
Release Date: December 13, 2016
I slept with the wrong twin.
And all I got for it in return was a broken heart.
Oh yeah, and a baby on the way—there’s that too.
But I’m determined to make it on my own. I don’t need a man, thank you very much. Not rich, charismatic, and decidedly flighty Rex Roosevelt, and especially not his twin brother, Justin.
No matter that the gorgeous former military doctor makes my heart beat a little faster . . . and all spots lower than that pay careful, careful attention.
None of that matters. The Roosevelt men are dangerous and I’m steering clear.
The trouble is, Justin refuses to leave me be.
And deep down, I don’t want to avoid him.
Deep down, I want to be even closer.

When Ritter arrived at the gym, he spotted Cole jumping rope. He stopped and glanced at the wall clock. “You’re late. Roommate didn’t have you tied up, did she?”
“Very funny. We got a dog. Stayed up playing with him. I hit the snooze one time too many.”
Cole ran a towel over his face, then his lips curled. “That’s not good.”
“What? Getting a puppy?”
“Naw. The we in that sentence sounds like a contract extension.”
Ritter stretched. “I won’t lie. I’ve gone home to an empty house so long, thought having someone there would drive me nuts, but it hasn’t—for the most part.”
Cole stepped on the nearest treadmill, turned it on, and ran a steady pace. “I gotta hand it to you. You’ve managed to sleep with her and keep your hands to yourself. Or have you?”
Ritter climbed onto the machine next to Cole’s and matched his stride. No need to confess he hadn’t exactly resisted, but he’d not passed second base—by much. Had it not been for the phone call, he would have hit a home run. He’d had the wood for it. “No.”
“Come on. No way you haven’t hit that. Especially after what you told me about her coming on to you.”
“That’s why I can’t let her stay. My resistance is wearing thin.”
Ritter and Cole’s phones sounded a text at the same time. Ritter read his, then shot Cole a look. “Turns out, we’re off this afternoon.”
Cole dropped his cell back into the cupholder. “I’ve never been to New Jersey. You?”
“Nope but looks like the storm is calling us there.”

The Lilac Code
The Sisters, Texas Series Book 7
by Becki Willis
Genre: Cozy Mystery
Will a case of mistaken identity be the death of her?
Madison Reynolds is looking forward to a few days of rest and relaxation. Her best friend Genny is judging a celebrity bake-off near DC, so it’s the perfect opportunity for a girl’s getaway. With fun-loving Granny Bert in tow, the trio heads to the very heart of the Intel community. Deep in alphabet soup territory—surrounded by CIA, NSA, FBI and more—it takes only moments for things to go awry.
A mix-up at the airport leaves Madison with the wrong luggage, and a last-minute change in accommodations lands them at The Columbia Inn at Peralynna. How can they know its ties to the spy world will soon spin them into its web?
Designed as a CIA safe house, the inn has a fascinating history. When it seems a mysterious man in a dark coat is following her, Madison scoffs at her over-action imagination. She’s listened to too many spy tales, spun by the innkeeper herself. The stories of espionage and agents are intriguing, but too incredible to be real. The Texans know nothing about secret codes and counterintelligence. They’ve never heard of The Lilac Code, or the illusive agent-for-hire known simply as Kalypso.
Back home in The Sisters, a drama is unfolding that involves Madison’s precious twins. She’s raised them to do the right thing, no matter the consequence, but will their quest for justice put them in danger?
Thrust into impossible situations of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, the twins risk everything to save their school, while deep in spy territory, Madison and Genny race against the clock—and the elements—to save Granny Bert’s life.
The award-winning The Sisters, Texas Mystery Series continues in this exciting Book 7. This is a stand-alone book, but best when enjoyed as a full series experience.

I am a Michigan native, who up until recently lived in the Metro Detroit area, where crime and corruption always seem to be at the top of everyone's news. So there's always the chance to find something that can trigger a story idea and enough interesting characters to jump start your imagination.
While I have worked in many industries and career paths over the years, one of my passions has always been writing. I was even able to parlay that passion for a while, working as a freelance reporter for a couple of newspapers in the Detroit area. Writing features and hard news helped me hone my talents. But while newspaper work was interesting and paid a few bills, it was a far cry from the fiction writing that I enjoy the most.
I've always been drawn to mysteries and thrillers, the kind of stories that have a fast pace, that keep you moving and keep you guessing as to what's going to take place next. Mix those in with some elements of crime, perhaps a glimpse of the seedier side and you've got me. So it's always been one of my goals to write stories like that.
Melissa Kay Clarkewas born in Tupelo, Mississippi and raised in Houlka, a small rural town forty-five minutes southwest down the famous Natchez Trace. She found a love of reading very early and quickly devoured everything she could. Told repeatedly that she had a wonderful imagination, she turned to scribbling her musings and wrote her first novel while in college. It was never published and has since vanished. The death of a close friend who aspired to become an author reawakened her own desire resulting in penning her first book, Shattered Dreams, published in 2013.
Melissa now resides in Meridian, Mississippi with her supportive family – husband, Robert and daughter Rebecca, two cats, and two dogs. When she isn't writing, she spends way too much time with her online friends and feeding her ravenous appetite for the written word.

Literary Fiction / Military Fiction
Molly Monroe had her future planned out for her. When she makes an impulsive decision to join the Marine Corps, her boyfriend breaks up with her, her brother bears the burden of guilt, and her mother feels betrayed. The people in Molly’s life have always tried to protect her, but she wants to protect herself.
As a Combat Camera Marine, Molly observes and records her environment from behind the lens, where image shapes day-to-day life. After she is wounded during a combat deployment, her dreams are frightening, and her memories are a kaleidoscope of scattered and chaotic scenes; a collision of past and present, real and unreal. Snapshots in time. Glimpses of war. Fragments of love: lost and found.
This story unfolds through multiple perspectives and as the negatives and positives develop, an image of the Model Marine is sharpened into focus.
About the Author
Sondra Sykes Meek is originally from Florida, but she has lived in several locations in the United States and abroad. She is a wife and mother of two, a retired Marine Corps Master Sergeant, and a Project Manager in the Defense Industry. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and has several stories in various stages of progress. She hopes to write full-time one day, but for now, she writes in the spare, quiet moments of her life.
Sondra wrote and published Model Marine: A Novel to reveal the courage and sacrifices of Marines and their families. She wanted to offer readers another kind of hero: someone who is not supernatural, immortal, or from the future. Although the events of this story are fiction, the setting and characters are influenced by her experiences as a Marine. The narrative is as authentic as it can be without excluding civilian readers. The protagonist is named after a Marine Corps icon, “Molly Marine.” This is especially relevant now, as 2018 marks 100 years since the first woman joined the United States Marine Corps.
Sondra hopes all readers enjoy this emotional journey of love, loss, and sacrifice. There are real heroes hidden within the pages of her debut novel. She invites you to meet them, love them, and remember them.

âMaverick?â I gasped at the sight of my boyfriend leaning against the hood of his car. âWhat are youââ
He stalked toward me, buried his hands in my hair, and kissed me. Deep and slow and full of unspoken promises. Our tongues tangled together as he guided me against the side of his car, pressing into me, showing me just how much heâd missed me.
âMaverick,â I murmured, curling my hands into his t-shirt.
âFuck, Iâve missed you,â he breathed between kisses.
When he finally pulled away and stared down at me with those intense eyes of his, my mind cleared. âWhy are you here?â I arched a brow. I wanted to believe it was because he missed me and just had to see me but there was something glittering his eyes.
âI missed you,â he repeated.
His walls slammed up and he narrowed his eyes. I let out a heavy sigh, able to see straight through him. âKyle told you, didnât he?â
âIt should have come from you.â He gave me a pointed look that I felt all the way down to the pit of my stomach.
âThatâs not fair.â I stepped back, running a hand through my hair. âI called last night to tell you and you wereââ
âShit, I know.â He tilted his face skyward and let out a long sigh. âThis, me being away, itâs harder than I thought it would be.â When his eyes met mine again, my shoulders relaxed, the annoyance ebbing away.
âI know. We both just need to give it time.â I slid my fingers through his belt loops, pulling us together. âAnd we both need to relax a little. I canât freak out every time you go to a party and you canât freak out that Iâm working here.â
He stiffened but I yanked harder. âMaverick.â
âI wonât pretend to like it, because I donât.â His dark gaze flicked behind us to Hitters. âBut I trust you, Lo, and I know you need this.â
âThank you.â I leaned up pressing a kiss to his jaw, but Maverick dipped his head, capturing my lips in a breath-taking kiss.
âMaybe we should take this somewhere else,â I whispered. âUnless you have to get back to SU?â
âI donât need to be back until morning. You have me all night.â His voice was thick with need, and it softened something inside of me.
âPerfect. Iâll text my dad and let him know weâll be at the pool house.â
His eyes danced with desire as he kissed me again and then opened the door for me. I slid inside and waited for him. There was so much I wanted to ask but I didnât want to ruin the moment either. So I sat quietly while he drove us back to his house.
âI canât believe youâre here,â I said as he pulled into the drive away and cut the engine.
âI wanted to see you.â
âWanted to or needed to?â
âBoth, I guess,â he admitted, reaching over and sliding his fingers into mine. âIâm not going to lie to you, Lo, I was pissed when Kyle told me about Hitters. But mostly, I was pissed it came from him and not you.â
âMaverick, Iâ youâre right. I should have told you. I should have made you listen. But Gus is good people. And Sarah and Liam seem really nice. And it means I donât have to be there so much.â
His expression softened. Maverick didnât need me to spell it out for him, he knew how hard things had been since Stella and Bethany had moved in a little over a week ago. âCome on, letâs go inside. Weâve missed you.â
âWe?â I asked as I climbed out of the car. Maverick smirked, holding out his hand for me.
âYeah, me and him.â He dropped his eyes to his crotch and I rolled my eyes.
âOh my god, youâre turning into Kyle.â
âI thought you dug that cocky humor he has going for him?â
âGross.â I smacked his arm. âThatâs my cousin youâre taking about.â
âWhen you say it like that...â Maverick grimaced and pulled me into the yard. The Stone-Prince house had become my second home over the summer. Which was weird since I once hated the place and everything it stood for. But now I kind of loved it. Not to mention the fact it housed three of my favourite people.
âShould we go inside and say hello?â I flicked my head to the main house, but Maverick was already pulling me toward the pool house.
âWe can say hello later or in the morning.â
I couldnât hide my smile at that. Even if it was only a flying visit, Maverick was home and didnât want to waste a single second of it.
