book blurb
The angel, Kellareal, stopped the genocide of generations of hybrids, who had been bred for research and spent their entire lives imprisoned. Against orders, he spirited them away to a dimension where they would have freedom and purpose.

In a vindictive fit, Rosie Storm asked Kellareal for a place to hide out. He knew just the place for her to grow up, learn emotional control, and other things.
excerpt
“Let’s take a walk. There’s a spot up above the training grounds. It’s quiet, private, pretty.” When she looked up at him, he bent and rubbed his nose against hers in a way that was not common for humans, but definitely sexy.

“What are we going to do there?” She hoped she didn’t sound as breathless, and eager, as she felt.

“I’m going to get to know everything there is to know about you, my little sex demon.”

“I’m not a sex demon, Carnal. I’m just part sex demon.”

“Okay,” he smiled. “If you say so. I just know that I’ve never felt this way about a female before. I figure something supernatural must be at work.”

Rosie didn’t know whether to be more thrilled about the proclamation that she was special to him or about the fact that his feelings were unusual enough to suspect that she’d bewitched him. She was thinking that she needed to tell Charming to keep the witchcraft book a secret when Carnal said, “So tell the truth. You’re part witch, right? Did you put a spell on me?”

He stopped and turned to face her.

She knew the drill at that point. He was fishing for half truths and untruths, so she met his eyes.

“No, Carnal. I have not used magic on you or altered the natural course of things in any way. Other than fixing your motorbike.”

“Motorcycle,” he corrected. “Would you like me to be under your spell?”

She laughed and pulled away. “I don’t have to answer that.”

He caught up with her quickly and fell into step beside her. “Free thinks you’ll be leaving soon.”

“Does he?”

“Is he right?”

“Honestly, Carnal, I guess I don’t know from one day to the next. Every day I wake up and think, ‘I’ll stay one more day’.”

“Why?” She gave him a confused look. “Not that I’m not glad you’re here, but from a purely clinical and objective standpoint, why have you stayed?”

“I’m not sure my answers would make sense.”

“Tell me anyway.”

“I like working at the Commons. I like living in your parents’ house. I like the way Charming treats me like a sister. I like Dandelion. I like that your father listens to my ideas and gives me respect.”

Carnal pulled her to a stop again and lifted her chin so that she had to look at him. “I didn’t hear anything in there about me.”

“I didn’t either.”

“Tell me. Am I part of the reason why you’ve stayed?”

All she knows is that if she wants to stay alive she has to keep moving. She calls the only person she knows that might be able to help. Chased by both physical and mental horrors, Trever and Allyson must put their emotions aside and work together.

Excerpt:

She turned around to face Trever. “I can’t leave Texas.” “The fuck you can’t.” He now stood near the window, his back still to her. “You’re in danger here.” “Don’t you think I realize that?” Her voice rose, which was better than giving in to the tears she wanted to shed. How had everything worked out like this? It was supposed to be a simple run to the store, then Anthony threw everything away and dragged her down with him. “No, I don’t.” Trever turned back to look at her, his hand gesturing toward the door. “Otherwise you’d have been more careful. What the hell were you thinking, not even bothering to put the latch on the door? Are you hoping they catch you?” “I…I…didn’t think…” she stammered, knowing she had messed up. If Trever had gotten in without her hearing a sound, anyone could have. Someone else could have been waiting for her when she exited the shower completely unaware. “You’re right, you didn’t think, and you could have gotten yourself killed.” He stood there unmoving as if she went through this type of shit all the time. She was out of her element and she knew it. It was why she’d called Brier. “You’re the fucking SEAL, not me,” she spat. “It’s not like I run for my life every other day. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing!” She sank down onto the bed again and stared at the floor. “Maybe I shouldn’t have run. If I’d stayed I—” “You’d be dead,” He finished for her. He came around the bed to stand in front of her. “A drug deal? Damn it, Allie, are you hooked on that shit?” “What?” She looked at him, blinking as she tried to adjust to the sudden swing in the conversation. “If you’re messed up on that shit I need to know. I can’t have you strung out. In order to get you out of here I need you with a clear head.” “I thought you knew me better than that, Trever. I don’t do drugs.” Tired of her emotions pulling her in two different directions she forced herself to look away from him and let her gaze fall onto the duffel bag that held everything she now owned, which wasn’t much. “Just get out. I don’t need your help.” “I think you do.” “You left me…” The words were out before she could stop them. That simple statement was the root of the newest turmoil inside her and was the one reason she was rejecting his help, though she hadn’t meant to verbalize it. She didn’t want him to know that she still missed him. “That’s not what this is about.”

Resisting Fate

RF

Seventeen-year-old Emmy O’Connell is the epitome of a hot mess. Her boyfriend’s been shipped out of town to some boarding school four states away. Her step-douche is constantly drunk and badgering her. And then there’s her good-ole-mom… The lady is nothing more than a miserable shell of a woman. She’s turned off all of her feelings and her ability to be a good mother as well, leaving poor Emmy and her four year old brother Jamie to suffer. Life couldn’t get much worse, right? Enter the elusive, cocky, and oh-so-broody Jack Hartman… The jerk cousin of her boyfriend becomes Emmy’s worst nightmare…times ten. He’s cruel. He’s insensitive. But he also has this strange little ability over her – he makes her weak in the knees with the single touch. No matter how miserable or amazing Jack makes her feel, Emmy can’t seem to deny him, especially when he takes on the role of her protector –her pseudo-knight in a black leather coat. A knight who also happens to ride in on his black Harley, instead of a white horse… And to make a bad situation worse… Werewolves and teens shouldn’t mix! But what can Emmy do when she finds herself thrown head first into the center of it all. Can she handle the supernatural mess her life rapidly becomes or will she fight against the inevitable fate her heart desires?

Seizing Fate

And you thought Emmy’s life was a hot mess before…

SF

Jack’s gone off with his brother, but for how long? Emmy doesn’t have a clue. In his place, though, is Zachary. The whiny, miserable, alpha wolf–boy who is more than ready to take on the duty of her mate/boyfriend—if she’d let him, that is. But the last thing Emmy wants is to deal with a boy who believes that the world should fall solely at his feet whenever he demands it. But hey, at least her step–douche is gone, and her life is back to an almost normal sense, right? Wrong again—Emmy’s life will never be normal. With her Uncle Prick in town and her best friend acting secretive, Emmy finds new challenges to overcome—challenges that no seventeen–year–old girl should ever have to deal with. For one thing, what is up with her dream–liaison status anyway? What does it mean, really? And why does her little brother have to go through it, too? And then there’s her mom. The lady is acting a tad bit odd, to put it nicely. After all these years, she finally wants to step up and be a parental figure? Heck no! Emmy’s definitely not copacetic with that idea. But with the bad, there’s got to be some good out there for her somewhere, right? Add in the wolves, witches, drama, and lots of kisses and you get Emmy the Extraordinaire, the girl with strawberry–colored hair, and a chip on her shoulder. She’s finally on her way to finding out what her life and her future both have in store for her, even if the road to getting there is nowhere near as easy as she hoped it would be. But Emmy is tough, and more than ready to take on life with her bare hands. It’s just too bad she’s madly, desperately, insanely in love with a boy who insists on making her life both a miserable hell and utter perfection at the same time.

Revenge:
the action of inflicting hurt or harm on someone for an injury
or wrong suffered at their hands.

Revenge is not the answer. There is no peace in vengeance.
These are the things my mother taught me as a child.
I must learn to forgive and through that forgiveness will find the means to let go.
I used to believe she was right.
I used to believe a lot of things...
That was before the careless acts of one person ripped my entire family apart.

I swore one day he would pay.
One day he would understand what it felt like to lose everything.
One day…
And now, that time has finally come.

But just when I think I understand the rules, the game changes...
I wasn't looking for love in my pursuit of revenge.
It was the last thing I expected or even wanted for that matter.
But it happened just the same.

Now I'm trapped.
Trapped within the lies I have created.
Trapped in a game that I'm not sure I can win.

I thought I knew the players.
I was wrong...

Now my very life hangs in the balance and there's only one person that can help me.
But first he has to learn the truth about who I really am...

She looked beyond Mouse and smiled. “Perfect. He’s right on time for once.”
“He who?”
“Torin.”
“Oh my God…” Mouse shivered and ducked her head, adjusting her mask to make sure her face was completely covered.
Mistress Zarah surveyed her. “Oh, now that’s just not fair. I bet you creamed your panties, didn’t you?”
“Mistress, could you please keep your voice down?” Mouse hissed, heat filling her cheeks.
Zarah chuckled. “Oh, I don’t think so. But for your sake, I suggest you don’t speak much when he comes over here or he might recognize your voice.” She turned her head to look behind Mouse. “Ah, Torin. How are you, dear?”
He came around Mouse and gave Zarah a brief hug and a kiss on the cheek. “Well enough, considering.”
“It’s such a loss. We’ll miss Regine terribly, you know that, don’t you?”
“I do. Thank you.” Torin turned and looked Mouse over from head to toe. “Very nice. Is she yours?”
“No, darling. A guest who wants to explore the dark side.”
“As a submissive or is she a Domme in training?”
“Submissive.”
Tor turned the full force of his gaze on her. Their eyes met briefly before she dropped her gaze to his shoes. Please let him not recognize her. Please.
“Yes, definitely a submissive,” he purred. He lifted his hand and paused, glancing at Zarah. “May I?”
“The choice is hers.”
“Do you have a name?” He asked, brushing a strand of hair off her forehead. Normally, she kept her bushy hair pinned severely back, but the letter that arrived with the clothes ordered her to let it fall around her face naturally.
She glanced at Mistress Zarah, begging for help. Zarah smiled. “Her name is Minnie.”
“Minnie? Unusual.”
“That’s her name tonight. Who knows? Her name tomorrow might be Mickey.”
Mouse glared at Zarah, who just laughed.
“Do you want to play with me, Minnie?”
Mouse’s eyes flew to Tor’s. Did he know? Surely not. And what the hell did he mean by play?
“Play?” she squeaked. Damn it. Why did she always have to squeak like a mouse when she was anxious? At least Tor was unfamiliar with her nervous habit because by the time they’d met, Regine had worked the squeak right out of her.
He chuckled, his fingers trailed along the bare skin of her arm from her shoulder to her wrist. Gently, he encircled her wrist and rubbed the vulnerable skin there with his forefinger.
“Yes, Miss Squeak. Play. That means you and I go someplace private and I give you a spanking you’ll never forget. A spanking that will have you begging for more.”
Mouse couldn’t catch her breath as he lightly ran his fingertips up to her elbow. He leaned close and brushed his lips along the edge of her ear. She jerked when his tongue flicked against her lobe.
“Sensitive, aren’t you?” he murmured.
“Yes.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Oh sorry. Yes, Sir.” Her voice was barely a whisper.
He chuckled in her ear. His hand moved from her elbow to her waist while he tormented her by trailing the fingers of his other hand from her wrist to her shoulder. Then he brushed a finger along her shoulder and up along her neck. Mouse couldn’t stop the shiver that coursed through her at his touch.
“You haven’t answered my question. Would you like to play with me?”
She closed her eyes at his purr. God, she wanted him. But what was she letting herself in for if she agreed to this? She opened her eyes and she saw Mistress Zarah grinning at her.

“The choice is yours. What do you want?”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR - Francesca Hawley

Hi. I’m Francesca Hawley and I’m a fat chick. A woman with dangerous curves just like my heroines.

Many people don’t like the word, “fat” but I do because it’s the truth and I’ve learned to own it. I am a fat chick and I always will be. When I first began to read romance, the heroines were all thin. I kept wondering, where were the fat heroines? I wanted to read about a fat chick who loved herself—or at least learned to love herself—and a hot alpha hero who liked her jiggly bits just the way they were.

Since I didn’t find many big girls to read about, I decided to write about them, so Francesca Hawley – author of Romance with Dangerous Curves was born.

In a Francesca Hawley romance, my readers will find authentic, sensual, fat heroines who love and are loved by their intense, passionate, and seductive Alpha heroes. I hope you enjoy their dangerous curves just as much as their hunky heroes do.

book blurb
He’s a kinky dream come true—and her only protection from danger.

Eight months after her (cheating, almost-ex) husband's death, Suzanne Mayhew has a plan to move on with her life. First step: sell off Frank's classic cars, starting with the red vintage Mustang convertible he never let her drive. Second step: get her unexplored kink on with a delicious younger man.

Preferably the one an old friend sends around, ostensibly to check out the Mustang. Neil Callahan—Boston cop, Dom, fifteen years her junior.

Neil feels the mutual sizzle, but if the blush staining her cheeks is any indication, her flirting skills are a little rusty. Though his instinct tells him to take things slow with the recent widow, he can’t resist inviting her along for a test drive—for the whole weekend.

Throwing caution to the wind, Suzanne takes him up on it. But they’re barely out of the driveway when Neil’s cop instincts kick in. They’ve got a tail…and it looks dangerously like her ex’s secrets looming large—and deadly—in their rear-view mirror.

Warning: Spies, lies and vile bad guys. A meddling BFF. Inappropriate use of kitchen tools. Completely appropriate use of rope and floggers. Your mileage may vary, depending on battery life.
excerpt

Neil’s lips reminded her she was truly alive, not just going through the motions of living. His lips and his tongue, the tickle of his rebel scruff, so charmingly at odds with his short, neat cop hair. And oh, those muscled arms around her, pulling her close, making her feel small and soft, but at the same time powerful, desirable. And not powerful because she was desirable. She was both.
Her body filled with almost forgotten hunger. Oh, she remembered desire, felt it often, but for the last few years, even while Frank was alive and well and occasionally having sex with her, desire had grown from fantasies rather than reality. A handsome actor looking buff and commanding on a movie screen, a sexy passage in a book—her Kindle was full of BDSM romances and erotica, some good, some schlocky, but all featuring scenes that set her imagination and libido soaring—a stray thought that sent her mind to dark, delicious places where hard hands and strong bodies and the occasional whip, paddle or toy worked their magic on her.
This wasn’t fantasy desire. This was specific. All about the taste of Neil Callahan’s lips, the way his tongue invaded her mouth…no, not invaded, because invaders weren’t invited in and welcomed with ticker-tape parades, and if her mouth could, it would be throwing a parade right about now. All about the way he smelled like gingerbread in the salt air with its hint of suntan lotion. The way one big hand cradled the back of her head, controlling and tender at the same time. The way his broad chest and back felt as she scrambled to touch as much of him as she could, and if she was making a spectacle of herself, well, it was about time.

Demiere Lee is a native Floridian (he’s from St. Petersburg and was raised in Orlando). A published poet with the American Library of Poetry, he’s always had a love for writing in the creative form. He says of writing, “It’s my natural high. I love creating another world, developing characters, and drama that transports my imagination to another level.” A sequel to What is Love? and a stand-alone novel are in the works within the year.
When he’s not writing, Lee takes on an active role in both his church and school and in his spare time is a zealous reader. He  currently resides in Waynesboro, Georgia. What is Love? is his debut novel.

Get to know Demiere:

Q: How do you get inspired to write?
A: My emotions play a key role in what motivates me to put that pen to paper. Often I coordinate my emotions with the idea to write a book. Most of my characters are female heroines and I use the emotion that I’m feeling in that moment to create a relatable heartwarming or gut-wrenching plot that’ll resonate with my audience in that particular genre.

Q: What’s the best thing about being a writer?
A: Having the ability to construct a detailed story line and the characters that come along with it. As I draft my thoughts on paper and hear quotes and anecdotes from influences in my life, I subconsciously realize i’m writing a book. Also conducting research for the novels are extremely significant and my favorite part of being a writer.

Q: What do you do when you have a great idea for a book?
A:  I will write it in a notebook. For me it’s all about organization and the best way to see if a idea for a book is great is to create a character analysis. Scour the internet for a picture of a celebrity that you envision as the character and then you make a profile about physical descriptions and their backstory. This typically works for me because as a writer I believe in capturing my audience with drama and juicy details.

Q: What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
A: If you are passionate about writing, join as many writing workshops, writer’s forum and write, write, write. Even if your work isn’t on stellar level, always keep a eye open for new ideas and find ways to revise your work. Useful tools to keep nearby when you write: Dictionary, thesaurus, legal pad, black, blue and red pens and newspapers/magazines/other novels to keep up with current events and those past. Good luck!

Q: How do you deal with writer’s block?
A: I don’t. I’m a firm believer in the fact that writer’s block is a setback. And like the saying goes, “For every set back there’s a strong comeback.” I allow that writer’s block to let me focus on any other activity in my life and then like a light bulb one day, I’ll happen to think of one and write it down. I have many ideas running through my head that I write down to help me keep track of. So I always have a list at my disposal to focus on my next idea.

Q: Do you have a favorite author? Or book?
A: Terry McMillan. And Waiting to Exhale. Terry isn’t just a writer, she’s a lyricist. Her complex writing style speaks to me because it’s raw, honest, and there’s always some positive message at the end of it all that usually centers on family. I cannot wait for her next novel, I Almost Forgot About You, to be released onJune 7th. I have enjoyed every novel she’s written and I know this one will be nothing short of amazing.

Q: What are you working on now? Will there be a sequel to What is Love?
A: I’m in the planning stages of my next novel and have absolutely no idea what it’ll end up being. That’s the beauty of writing. Books never go as planned. However, if any of my fans have any ideas I welcome all of them to email me their ideas. To answer your other question, there will be a sequel to What is Love? but not so soon. I need a break from the characters and I want to showcase my versatility in writing which is precisely the reason why I’m focusing on a stand-alone.
