We finally have our first guy feature on the Author 10! Let's get to know a little bit about Author Sentu Taylor. 1. Favorite book of all time? This is the toughest question ever, so I'll take the easy route and say "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak because it motivated me to learn how to read instead of having to wait on bed time for my mom to read it to me. 2. Favorite author of all time? Chuck Palahniuk 3. Favorite book turned movie? Fight Club 4. Favorite genre to read? Horror or social satire 5. Favorite genre to write? Street fiction horror / urban satire 6. What is your go-to writing playlist? Slaughterhouse if I'm looking to do more of a prose style. Lots of The Mars Volta, and Adele. Portishead if I'm writing a sad scene. Brotha Lynch or Guillotine Kasino Champ if I'm doing horror or splatterpunk. 7. What snack/drink must you have while you're writing? If any? Coffee and in un healthy amounts lol 8. How do you celebrate a release day? By eating junk food and making catchy promotional memes 9. What's your favorite part about being an author? Being able to create and then become a character during the duration of writing a novel and of course having complete strangers reach out to you and telling you that your imagination has touched them. 10. Why should people read your books? Because I take pride in giving you the most out of the box yet well researched novels possible, and so far have received high marks for my left field approach and style. I also refuse to allow demand force me to put out a rushed project, I respect my readers and the craft too much to do so. ![]() Sentu Taylor hails from the West Coast, having lived in both California and Washington State, which probably is where his carefree attitude stems from. He's the author of the critically heralded Gangpire trilogy as well as a contributor to the Winter's Chill horror anthology with Kenya Moss Dyme , Deb K. Mason and Omar Tyree . The Bookworm Lodge being one of the awesome blog sites that has Gangpire featured, he is currently finishing his newest novel entitled Sinsane Asylum. In his spare time he likes to paint and exchange low brow humor with his kid brother. Check out his books here, including those featured on The Bookworm Lodge!
