So I'm SUPER excited about our latest Author 10!, mainly because her new book In Love with Ezra just dropped this week! But let's get to know a definite fan favorite, Love Belvin. 1. Favorite book of all time? Don't have one, oddly enough. My favorite story of all time is Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I can watch/read it in just about any format. 2. Favorite author of all time? Errrrrr... Don't have one either. I have several I rely on for a solid story-line and twisting plots. S.H. Kohlee is one. She rips my heart from my chest, spits on it, stomps all over it, hands it back, and leave me pleasantly intrigued. Christina C. Jones always reminds me to open my mind, as a reader, to different elements of romance. She has me reading paranormal and suspense, two genres I wouldn't otherwise, and I love it. I'm quite often impress by her big brain. Sylvia Day's artsy writing style always leaves me mesmerized. Her pen is wonderfully curvy, and I enjoy it. 3. Favorite book turned movie? I'm going with A Christmas Carol. A classic redemption story. 4. Favorite genre to read? Contemporary adult romance. #Allday 5. Favorite genre to write? Contemporary adult romance. Nothing deep here. I haven't ventured outside of that yet. It's my love. 6. What is your go-to writing place? I don't have an official place yet. If I can get a moment to clear my mind and think, I'll create an office in my house. I have this one guest bedroom I can do without thanks to the reclusive writer in me. I'm hoping to do it in 2016. 7. What snack/drink must you have while you're writing? If any? Everyone who knows me know I 'need' my glass of vino. As of late, dry red has been the preferred choice. 8. How do you celebrate a release day? This question is making feel corny. I don't celebrate. I usually just study the flutters in my chest and leaps in my belly on bringing a story full circle. Nonetheless, it never lasts long because I have to get on with the next couple awaiting my couch. 9. What's your favorite part about being an author? It's between connecting with absolute strangers on a story that was created in my head, and continuing to unfold my God-given gift. I sat on it for so many years, not really knowing it was there. I did the traditional thing (school) and accomplished several goals in life that I'm grateful for. However none, fulfilled the creative void in me. With each project, I'm discovering God and His hand. I tell people all the time, we all have gifts. Don't let life pass you by without discovering yours; it can be debilitating. Unleashing it makes each day that much more enjoyable. It's how God connects you to so many. 10. Why should people read your books? I learned a long time ago that every book is not for everybody, even if it's their favorite genre. I hope what people receive from my works is a chance to experience flawed people make the best of what they have to find the ability to love and be loved. It's that simple. I enjoy taking on broken people, illuminating their flaws, and pushing them to address their weakness in order to experience real romantic love. Oh, and that I drink my weight in wine while doing it! #Kidding ![]() Love Belvin is a native of the Tri-State area and now lives in the Delaware Valley.
